Chava Spetter

Panelist

I was born in 1950 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 18, married to Eliezer for almost 50 years. After we made Aliyah to Israel in 1993, I started to learn how to work with women and their bodies and I discovered my healing hands. I helped a lot of women release tension and in 2000, I came in contact with TAT and became a professional and trainer. TAT is a beautiful and simple tool that works deeply to help people heal from trauma and disease, including cancer. I also work in marriage counseling, pregnancy and birth issues, stress and anger, dating problems, grief, etc. I love my work and although I’m retired, I cannot stop helping people! Hyla Kompel

Panelist

I grew up on the east side of Los Angeles, in Alhambra. My parents were thrilled when I found my place in the Zionist youth group, Hashomer Hatzair. (Not so thrilled when I made Aliyah and immigrated to Israel in 1979 at the age of 21). I completed my studies at The College of Education in Jerusalem and became a teacher in Special Education. In the year 2000, I began my studies for a certificate in reflexology. Some may call it foot massage, but it's so much more than just a foot rub. Reflexology is a holistic approach to health.  At this time, it became so clear to me that my choosing to work in special education was an expression and extension of my holistic approach to life. For the past 3 years, I have been studying 'Otzmat Harakut' (Hebrew) -- 'The Power of Softness - Holistic Pulsing’. This is a Body-Mind approach for healing and self- development created by Tovi Browning.  I was introduced to this technique when I encountered cancer 5 years ago. For a year, I received weekly sessions of this unique method, sort of like talking with your therapist while receiving a massage; but it's the body doing the talking, and the body doesn't lie or tell stories, and it remembers everything. I decided to study this and allow myself to go deeper into my own process of self-development; to heal, to understand and accept myself just as I am, to get to know ME better.  That "Special Ed" teacher is still a big part of me.... holistic, healing and helping.

Eliezer Spetter

Panelist

My name is Eliezer Spetter and I was born in 1948. Since 1972, I was a social worker in Holland and have been involved with counseling. In those early years, I also learned NLP, of which I am a Master Practitioner. If I were asked to describe myself, I would say I am a Shaliach to help people free themselves – with the help of G'D – from the personal and inner hardships from which they suffer with in their lives. I arrived at this work not of my own choosing; rather it came about through the circumstances of my life. In the year 2000, my wife Chavah and I brought the healing modality, TAT, to Israel. I was also involved in bringing EFT to Israel in those early days. Besides TAT, I was among the first people to learn and teach EmoTrance, or what is now called EMO and also the MET modality. Meanwhile, I taught and certified many people in TAT. Since 2000, I have done more than 30,000 sessions with people in TAT and EFT. Learn more at www.eli-ezer.com.
