Seeing our struggles from a different point of view sometimes allows us to think differently about our lives and gives us the ability to imagine new possibilities, even for difficult events from the past. We spent this creative writing workshop guided by Sherri Mandell, retelling and re-imagining our stories, crafting a creative response to an experience of crisis, conflict or trauma.
Tree Planting and Nature Therapy
January 18, 2019
In our busy lives, we’re often too distracted to notice what’s around us. When we stop and pay close attention to details, like the pattern on a flower petal or the rustle of leaves, we connect with the wonders of nature, which allows us to re-connect with ourselves in a powerful and alleviating way.

Free of Charge for Community Members
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” In order to live our lives meaningfully and purposefully, we have to learn how to stop and smell the roses. Join us for this pilot workshop, where as a community in our own proverbial “rose garden”, we will stand together and take a deep breath. In this workshop, we will connect to ourselves (Breath, Mind, Body) and to each other using a unique combination of Therapeutic Warrior Arts and Expressive Arts techniques.
